My name is Sarah, I live in northern Indiana with my husband, our son, and our German Shepherd; we love to go on adventures together and find beautiful new locations to explore.
I love the ocean, mountains, road trips, rainy days, coffee, art, hiking, and animals of any kind.
My photography journey
I have been taking photos ever since I was about nine or ten when I was given a small Fujifilm point-and-shoot camera for Christmas. I enjoyed taking photos of all of our pets, flowers, trees, or the landscape when we went on walks and bike rides near our house.
Later I got a Canon PowerShot and took photos of anything I could find outside, which eventually led to me going on drives in Michigan to find cool parks to take photos at with my Canon Mark IV, as well as photographing any animals I could get close to.
So often we can get focused on the big things that we forget to notice the small details that make life special, because of that I try to look for tiny details in nature and use my photography to show those to others.
What now...
Photography has given me a way to be involved in many community events, to help take a burden off the mind of the organizers while bringing joy to others by capturing special moments that can be looked back on for years.
I mostly photograph nature and wildlife for my own enjoyment, but I love to share those photos with others so they can get a glimpse into parts nature that they might not see everyday.
